Scripture and Prayer on May 1, 2020

Pastor David reads Exdous 24 and offers a prayer for patience, by Ephrem, a 4th century Syrian Christian:

O Lord and Master of my life,
Grant that I may not have a spirit of idleness,
of discouragement,
of lust for power,
and of vain speaking.
But bestow on me, your servant,
the spirit of chastity,
of meekness,
of patience,
and of love.
Yes, O Lord and King,
grant that I may perceive
my own transgressions,
and judge not my brother,
For you are blessed from age to age.
