Scripture and Prayer on Friday, July 17, 2020

Pastor David reads Matthew 26:17-25 and offers a prayer from Augustine:

O God, our Father, we are exceedingly frail, and indisposed to every virtuous and noble undertaking. Strengthen our weakness, we ask you, that we may be valiant in this spiritual war; help us against our own negligence and cowardice, and defend us from the treachery of our unfaithful hearts; for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord.
